Varied landscapes that illustrate the trends and present artistic aspirations of each painter in the selection of this call up a complete picture of twentieth century painting.
From Post-Impressionist influences visible in works by Francis Sirato, Kimon Loghi, Vasile Anghel, Leon Alexandru Biju, Aurel Băeşu and Adam Bălţatu to gravity or dramatic vision of Octav Băncilă Joseph Steurer, the oneiric imaginary landscapes of John Gregory and Fred Mikos to serenity characters hovering between landscape elements by Margareta Sterian, Eugen cosmological vision of Christmas, outlines the evolution of a century of painting.
Keep the tradition of promoting contemporary art within our auctions presenting a selection of works by Ion Grigore, Gil Nicolescu, Radu Daranga, Ştefan Pelmuş, Ion Iancuț, and also we propose a work of Ana Maria Dinescu, present for the first time in an auction after exposed in our project Contempl'Art.
