Text oferit de Thomas Emmerling, Art curator Euro:
Cand Salvador Dalí murea, January 1989, wider circles of people interested in art, his memory was marked by his escapades, The scandalous life, The extravagances and abuses which it has assumed. Among his works were known mostly oil paintings, reproduced in many art calendars and posters; meanwhile, these works are in major national museums and galleries around the world.
"Melted clocks", “cârjele”, "Spider-legged elephants", monstrous bodies of soft masses, skulls which also drain omelette, they seem to be "branded items" of the great master of surrealism, manner by which He can be spontaneous familiar.
On the other hand,, is less known graphic artist and production art world rather refused to worry about Dalí's graphic printed because the wave of international publicity's works included, in the early 80s of last century, a large number of low-quality fakes and reproductions.
Meanwhile succeeded systematic cataloging of printed graphics by Salvador Dalí and recognized as such counterfeits (most often easily identifiable, too), through the efforts of Ralf Michler and Lutz Löpsinger that published in 1995, The editura Prestel, two-volume catalog of Dalí's artwork printed, paper which lists exhaustively described and illustrated individually all original works of graphic artist known lăsământul; Thus, there has been separated, in a secure, "Husk".
The printed graphics creation surrealist genius find a self-contained world, self-enclosed, individualized the whole creation, designed to draw in anyone who is willing to dwell on it closely. Unlike oil paintings created by Dalí, the etchings, lithographs and woodcuts depicting viewer is its abundance throughout the literary world, philosophical and natural sciences in the past centuries to contemporary. Under this, Dalí joined a group of artists who skillfully illustrated the kind and manner of these thematic areas, especially through the work of graphic, of which we mention here the etchings of Rembrandt, Dürer's woodcut, Picasso lithographs and numerous illustrators of major works of literature of the past centuries including Dore is, Johannot și Fragonard.
From the revolutionary discovery of the art of printing by Gutenberg, literary and philosophical ideas have marked and influenced individuality, caused wars and made it possible to reconcile, lit revolution and found the way to a contemplative peace made possible self awareness.
