Ammar Alnahhas participă la DjerbaDREAM® Art Event
Artistul siriano-român Ammar Alnahhas, un adevărat fenomen al simezelor românești din ultimul deceniu, va participa, în perioada 24 iunie – 9 iulie 2018, la DjerbaDREAM Art Event, un adevărat festival de artă plastică ce va avea loc pe insula Djerba din Tunisia.
DjerbaDREAM® Art Event is the Agora of ART in its different styles, trends and
visions.
During two weeks, no less than 50 international artists will occupy the spaces of the
village, will work in direct contact with the inhabitants and will give occasional
introductory workshops.
The invited artists, coming from three continents, will cover the various disciplines of
plastic and urban arts: sculpture, painting on all supports, ceramics of art,
engraving, installations, photography…
THIS PROJECT HAS THE AMBITION TO STRENGTHEN ERRIADH, BUT MORE
BROADLY DJERBA, AS AN ESSENTIAL PLACE OF URBAIN ARTS AND CULTURE, as
well as to offer Tunisians and all Art lovers the unique opportunity to rub shoulders
with artists in full creation.
Our initiative aims to democratize access to culture and art, to promote art in urban
areas and to hatch a new generation of young, creative and connected artists.
The artistic selection of DjerbaDREAM® will be ensured by a dedicated committee
comprising artists who have participated in similar events around the world and
who will thus be able to define the organizational / logistical needs and best
identify the artists’ needs.
COURSE OF THE EVENT:
The event will take place over two weeks (between June 25 and July 8, 2018),
allowing artists to realize their creations inside the village, in direct contact with
residents, visitors and onlookers …
These two weeks will precede the 6th edition of the Friends of the Medina Festival.
The artists’ works will thus be exposed to the opening of the festival.

Sunday 24 & Monday 25 June 2018: Artists reception and ths visit of the village
and the island

From June 26th to July 4th: The artists will intervene at the places and on the
supports negotiated for them by the Organizing Team, and will work in direct
contact with the inhabitants and visitors of the village. Throughout their work,
meetings and workshops will be organized with the young people of the island as
well as a group of students of Fine Arts.

From 5th to 8th of July: Opening of the “Friends of the Medina” Festival in its 6th
edition, and official discovery of the artists’ works, done in the presence of the
artists, the public and the national / international press. The Friends of the Medina
Festival will then follow its usual race with its street animations, craft market, Arts &
Lights Show, musical concerts, collector car parade and other various exhibitions.
